Energy efficiency – sustainable thinking and acting is a global topic and more important than ever.
We have recognised the potential of the lifting system as an energy supplier and want to harness it.
The lift system needs energy to lift loads. Conversely, energy is released and converted to dissipated heat during lowering and braking. Stop wasting energy – feed the arising energy back in so you can use it.
Increase your energy efficiency and reduce energy requirements – without endangering the high availability of the process and the system.
Your advantages: Recycle energy and save money!
Through energy recycling we lower your energy costs – the total energy consumption is reduced.
Save installation space and effort. Increase the efficiency of your system by converting excess heat into usable energy.
If there is no heating through brake resistance, the installation environment does not heat up.
Especially interesting for applications with high energy potential in lowering and braking motions as are used, e.g., in storage and retrieval units. The freed electrical energy can be used directly by the second axis.
We will find a clever solution for sustainably using your excess energy – using energy sensibly through intelligent control of the lifting and traversing axes of the storage and retrieval unit or through energy recycling.
You can save energy and reduce connection power by taking suitable measures. This leads to less installation effort and requires less material.
ALFATEC produces efficient material handling equipment with clean electricity
We have been relying on sustainable solutions for many years now to conserve resources and minimise environmental pollution. We have been producing our own carbon-neutral electricity with the sun’s energy since 2017. This is made possible by an ultramodern photovoltaic system with a collector surface area of 525 m² on the roof of our company building in Filderstadt. The system output of 99 kWp enables an annual electricity production of approx. 101 kWh, which corresponds to about 30 households. ALFATEC can cover most of its consumption with this.
As employers, we care about the health and well-being of our employees. JobBike attracts skilled workers, keeps our employees fit and protects the environment. An employer-sponsored bike is more than a salary. Our employees ride them whenever they want: to work, outside working hours, on holiday or for sport.
Whether city or touring bike, mountain bike, racing bike or pedelec – any bike can be a JobBike.
Conservation of raw material reserves
We ensure that all accumulated scrap metal is disposed of in an environmentally friendly way and thus contribute to an intact raw material life cycle. Steel recycling is applied environmental protection.. Every tonne of scrap steel used in place of raw iron in steel production means that ore does not have to be extracted and fuels do not have to be conveyed and transported over great distances. Through recycling of the steel, scarce raw material reserves are conserved, energy saved, the environment relieved of residue and a considerable amount of carbon emissions avoided.
Electronic invoice processing
Electronic invoice dispatch is a digital innovation that is becoming more and more widespread and that we also use. Invoice documents are sent via email as PDF documents. the faster sending of invoices as well as the purely electronic process from invoicing by us to the possibility of digital archiving by our customers.
We have also converted our processing of incoming invoices and preferably receive invoices from our suppliers via email.
The electronic PDF invoices actively contribute to protecting the environment. Natural resources are conserved through a reduction in paper consumption and avoidance of transport emissions.
Regional supplier network
Regionalism is an important element of our company philosophy. It results in lower carbon emissions due to short transport routes and strengthens suppliers in the region.
The Karl-Schubert workshops in Filderstadt offer various services revolving around handicrafts, gardening and cooking. People who are disabled as a result of sickness or other disability work in 13 different areas. Workshop employees regularly tend the gardens and green spaces on the company property.
Anyone who drives an electric car also regularly needs a spot at the charging station. With our six charging stations, we are positioning ourselves clearly as an innovative and environmentally conscious company by offering clever charging solutions for our own vehicle fleet, for employees and for customers.
